ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICY

Anti-Harassment Policy

Montana Barber Institute is committed to providing a study environment that encourages mutual respect relationships between students and employees; and is free from all forms of harassment and bias by anyone. Harassment is expressly prohibited and will not be tolerated by the school.

Reported or suspected occurrences of harassment will be promptly and thoroughly investigated. Following an investigation, any student or employee violating the policy will be subject to immediate termination.

The school will not permit or condone any acts of retaliation against anyone who files harassment complaints or cooperates in the investigation of a complaint.

The term harassment includes harassment based on any category protected by federal, state, or local law relating to an individual’s race, color, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, pregnancy, childbirth, physical

disability, mental disability, age, military status or status as a Vietnam-era or special disabled veteran, marital status, registered domestic partner or civil union status, gender, medical condition, or genetic information.

Sexual harassment consists of unwelcome sexual advances or visual or physical conduct of a sexual nature, or any form of sexually offensive behavior including gender-based harassment of the same sex as the harasser, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

If you believe that this policy is being violated with respect to yourself you need to file a report immediately with the School Administrator.
